Ofcom Frequency Analysis

If you want to know about FM frequency availability in your area, then we have developed a 2 stage process to help:-

Stage 1

Ofcom Frequency Prognosis – This provides an estimate of FM frequency availability in your area.   It estimates the contribution to interference from every licensed FM transmitter in the UK at every frequency.  Click the link to find out more.

Stage 2

Detailed Ofcom Planning analysis – This stage involves a lot of work and so it is quite expensive, depending on requirements (which are different case by case).   We do not recommend doing this stage as part of a Community Radio Application.  However it is appropriate (and probably essential) as part of the Ofcom process to potentially change aspects of an existing FM transmission (such as power, site relocation, antenna pattern change etc).
